Overview of Our Fun, Simple, Profitable Fundraiser
Decide on Products/Scents/Pricing for Your Fundraiser
You’ve already taken the first step to a successful fundraiser by requesting this Fundraiser Success Kit!
The next thing we need to do is design your fundraiser. This is such a flexible fundraiser! You have complete control over what type of products you sell, what scents you will offer and the prices you sell the products for.
Look over the enclosed catalog to see the various products our company offers. You can also browse our product line at my distributor’s on-line store (Shop Online tab): http://www.BeyondTheCandleOnline.com.
Select any combination of fragrances from the scent list. All our candles are richly scented and are guaranteed to burn properly. We advise you to select 6 to 10 fragrances from our list.
Select the fragrances that are most popular for the season and time of year of the fundraiser. Try to select a variety from all scent groups…fruits, spices, florals, etc.
Analyze the goals of the fundraiser and decide on your selling price. We typically suggest a price of $20.00 (Mia Bella Gourmet Candles suggested retail is $18.95)
Then, let’s set up a time that we can talk and put the final touches on your “designer fundraiser”! I am here to guide you through every step of your fundraiser so that this is a successful, profitable undertaking for your group.
Get Your “Scent-Sational” Fundraiser Off & Running
I will provide each of your participants with
1. a full color order form for all the products that you have chosen to sell,
2. a fragrance list describing each fragrance your group is selling and
3. an information sheet with letting your participants know what to do along with details about what sets these candles and products apart from the rest!
Sell Products and Make Money for Your Group
Participants will take orders for a designated period of time. I usually like to give the participants two weeks to sell the products (with two weekends). Customers are requested to pay when placing their order. Checks should be made payable to your organization. Advertise that delivery may take from 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the time of year.
Collect, Tally and Finalize Paperwork
Participants should turn in orders and all payments to the fundraising coordinator within your group. The orders are tallied and the master order form (provided) is turned in to me with a check for the order total. If you are a non-profit organization, I will also need a copy of your tax exemption certificate (so that sales tax does not have to be paid on the items sold).
Your PROFITS are yours IMMEDIATELY - no waiting on us to cut you a check. The money is in your account at the end of your fundraiser so that you can start using it as needed. Isn’t that great????
Receive and Distribute Candles
Orders are delivered within 15 business days of submitting the order form and payment to me. Orders are shipped via UPS directly to you organization. If you are in my local area, I will personally deliver your products to you.

How do I start my fundraiser?
After you contact me, I will provide you with a Fundraising Agreement Form. Just fill it out and email or mail it to me. After I receive the form, I will contact you to get the "fire started"! We will work together to personally customize your fundraiser. After we have all the specifics (dates/products/scents), I will ship all your fundraising materials to you.
Can any size group hold a candle fundraiser? Can we be successful if we have a small group?
Sure! Anyone that needs to raise money can hold this kind of fundraiser - no group is too big or too small! Successful fundraisers are not dependent upon the amount of members in your organization. We have seen small groups and even individuals who have sold incredible amounts of candles for fundraising.
Does my group have to be a non-profit group to hold a candle fundraiser?
No! Any group or individual that needs to raise money for a worthy cause can use a candle fundraiser to reach their goals.
Are there any start-up fees with your fundraisers?
No! I will supply everything you need to hold a successful fundraiser for your organization. There are NO out-of-pocket expenses and you receive your profit immediately!
What supplies do I receive?
After we customize your fundraiser, I will send you brochures, a scent description list, and an informational memo for each participant. I will also provide you with a master order form, and an instruction page on how to total your fundraiser.
Does our group have to purchase the products and then sell them?
No! This candle fundraiser is based on pre-selling the products. Your participants sell from a custom designed order brochure, collect the money at the time of the sale. Your group coordinator then collects all the money and order forms, tallies everything on the master form. You only pay for the products you order based on the orders and money you have collected.
When do I pay for my order?
Your participants make their payments for the products directly to your organization. When the fundraiser is over, you tally your profit and deduct it from the total collected. You then send the remaining amount to me.
How long will it take to get my products?
Your orders will be shipped within 14 business days after payment is received. Shipments normally are shipped via UPS directly to your organization unless you are local to my area.
Are Mia Bella’s Candles too expensive as fundraising products?
Our gourmet candles have value, are naturally clean, and represent a healthy alternative to unhealthy paraffin candles and are priced in the same range as many paraffin candles (which already have a great track record for fundraising).

We constantly search and hand-select fragrance oils from around the world so that our candle gives off a pleasing scent when it burns. If it is an apple scented candle it will smell like apples, not perfume. Check out the brochure and my online store for a listing of all the fragrances that Mia Bella Gourmet Candles have to offer. I suggest that your organization pick out about 5-15 scents to use for the fundraiser. (Keep in mind the season in which the fundraiser will occur.)

IT'S EASY!!
1. TAKING ORDERS - I will supply order forms and information for all participants in the fundraiser.
Participants simply take orders, collect the money and turn the orders into the organization. Checks are made
out to your organization.
2. PLACING ORDERS - After the orders are collected, they will be turned into me. I will total the order, process
the payments, order the candles and deliver your profits to you as I deliver the candles or you can just deduct
your $6 per candle and take your profits when you give me a check for the remaining $14 per candle.
3. DELIVERY – After the order is placed, the candles will be delivered in 2-3 weeks. We can have your candles
delivered to you directly or I can deliver them to you. It’s up to you. I just need to know at the time I place the order.
